This cartridge can only be used with HOMEDEC brand 3/4/5/6 function shower valves, as well as shower systems that include their shower valves. It will be incompatibility with other brands of shower valves.
The difference between the old and new design: you can recognize the length of the cartridge tip (the new design is shorter, while the old design is longer).
