Powered titanium anode rod for 40 to 89 gallon water heaters with a standard anode port plus a gallon of flush and descale solution. Powered anode rod bundled with a gallon of descaler flush solution to fully service the tank in one job. The powered anode rod provides continuous electronic protection to prevent corrosion and odor without being consumed, while the descaler solution removes scale and mineral buildup to improve system performance, and is NSF Certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 60 for drinking water treatment chemicals.
Turn off power or gas and water supply, shut off the cold inlet, and relieve pressure. Open the drain valve and fully drain the tank. Remove the existing anode rod. Pour the gallon of descaler solution into the tank through the anode port. Briefly open the cold water inlet for about 5 to 10 seconds to help distribute the solution, then close it. Allow the solution to sit for about 1 hour to dissolve scale and sediment. Open the drain valve and flush the tank completely, then refill and drain again with fresh water until clear. Install the powered anode rod, reconnect power, and resume normal operation
